The Front Runner 33 CC is a 33 ft 4 in offshore center console from Front Runner Boats of northeast Florida, offered with twin or triple outboards and about 350 gallons of fuel. It has since left the lineup as the brand moved to catamarans.

Best for
  • Offshore anglers in northeast Florida and the Carolinas
  • Buyers who want Front Runner build quality for less than a new cat
  • Owners who trailer or dry-stack their boat

Front Runner Boats for sale, and where the 33 fits

Most people searching Front Runner boats for sale find the brand through its fast catamarans, but for several years the core of the range was deep-V center consoles, and the Front Runner 33 CC sat near the small end of that family. The story starts in 2011, when fishing buddies Mark Lacovara and Phillip Mahn bought a 38 ft Fountain to refurbish and sell. They went on to rebuild sportfishing boats under the Grand Slam Boats name in St. Augustine, became dealers, and then decided no production boat met their standards, so they built their own.

At the 2023 Miami International Boat Show the lineup was all monohull center consoles: the 26 CC, 33 CC, 36 CC, 39 CC and the flagship 47 CC. Front Runner then launched its 37 Cat, followed by the 43 Cat in 2025 and the 35 Cat at the 2026 Palm Beach show. By 2026 the company's model page listed only catamarans plus the 43 HTX, and the 33 CC no longer appeared, so the 33 is now a used-market purchase. The builder is based in northeast Florida, with Marlin placing the factory in Green Cove Springs and the company listing a Jacksonville contact.

That history matters to a buyer. The 33 was built in relatively small numbers by a young, fast-growing builder, so every boat is a little different and the factory remains the best source of hull-specific information.

What the 33 CC measures, and what we could not confirm

Front Runner's own 33 CC page has been taken down, and we could not retrieve an archived copy, so the specification here comes from brokers who listed the boat and from Boat Trader's walkthrough. United Yacht Sales listed a 2023 Front Runner 33 CC at 33 ft 4 in overall with a 10 ft beam and 350 gallons of fuel. A second broker, Silver King Yachts, also lists 350 gallons for a 2025 boat.

That 350 gallon figure is the standout number. It is a lot of fuel for a 33 ft monohull and points to the brand's priority: long runs to the edge of the continental shelf, which sits more than 50 nautical miles off much of northeast Florida. With full tanks and triple outboards the boat will be heavy, and that weight is part of the ride.

We have not seen a published dry weight, draft, deadrise, maximum horsepower or independent test table for the 33 CC, and we have left those fields blank rather than guess. Ask the seller for the hull's capacity plate and the original build sheet.

Twin or triple outboards on a 33 footer

Boat Trader's 2022 walkthrough confirms the 33 CC was offered with both twin and triple engine packages. The two boats we found on the market in 2025 and 2026 illustrate the split: a 2023 hull on triple Mercury 300 outboards and a 2025 hull on twin Mercury 300s.

Triples give more top-end speed, more redundancy offshore and more resale appeal in tournament circles. Twins burn less fuel, cost less to service, leave room on the transom and are cheaper to repower. On a 10 ft beam monohull with 350 gallons aboard, twin 300s are adequate for most recreational fishing; triples make sense if you run far and fast in a sea.

Whatever the package, the repower cost is the elephant in the room. A set of three new 300 hp outboards plus rigging can approach half the value of a used 33, so engine hours and remaining warranty should drive your offer as much as the model year.

Fish boxes, a 65 gallon well and a coffin box on rams

The deck is laid out for offshore fishing first. Boat Trader counted five macerated in-deck fish boxes, and United Yacht's listing describes the same five boxes plus a 65 gallon livewell in the transom. Transom seating folds into the aft corners, and the leaning post carries dual helm seats with a tackle center built into the back and a slide-out cooler beneath.

Forward, a coffin box ahead of the console lifts on ram actuators, a detail that makes it easy to load and clean when it doubles as a fish box. Bow seating, a console head compartment and options such as outriggers, spray curtains, Seakeeper Ride trim systems and premium audio appear on the listings we read. Expect most boats to carry a hardtop with a full electronics package, since that is how Front Runner sold them.

  • Five in-deck fish boxes
  • 65 gallon transom livewell
  • Leaning post with tackle center and slide-out cooler
  • Coffin box on ram actuators ahead of the console
  • Head in the console

Costs of keeping a triple-engine 33

We estimate $15,000 to $35,000 a year to keep a Front Runner 33 CC in the US, excluding depreciation. The bottom of that range assumes twin engines, dry storage or a home trailer, and recreational hours. The top assumes triples, a wet slip in South Florida or the Northeast, an annual Mercury service on every engine, bottom paint and an electronics upgrade every few years.

Fuel will be the swing cost. We have no independent fuel curve for the 33, but any 33 ft offshore monohull on 600 to 900 hp burns serious fuel at 30 knots or more, and a full 350 gallon fill is a four-figure bill at most US docks.

Finding one on the brokerage market

Because Front Runner built the 33 for only a few model years before moving its focus to catamarans, expect to search for months rather than weeks. Boats tend to surface through Florida brokers and through dealers who also sell new Front Runner cats, and many come with custom aluminum or triple-axle trailers that are worth having.

When a boat appears, compare it on equipment, hours and warranty rather than on year alone. A 2022 boat with low hours and an extended Mercury warranty can be worth more than a 2024 boat with high-hour triples. Ask for the hull identification number, call Front Runner to confirm the build sheet and warranty status, and use a surveyor who knows offshore center consoles.

33 CC or one of the new Front Runner cats

Some buyers will cross-shop the 33 CC against Front Runner's current 35 Cat, which the company describes as a twin-engine catamaran with an 11 ft 6 in beam and 550 gallons of fuel. The cat promises more deck space and a flatter ride at rest, while the monohull is usually cheaper to buy used, easier to dock in a standard slip and simpler to trailer.

If you fish mainly offshore in steep head seas, the cat is the more modern answer. If you want the Front Runner build style for less money and a boat that fits a normal slip or dry-stack rack, a well-kept 33 CC is the value play in the family.

How much does a Front Runner 33 CC cost?

New, typical sail-awayNo longer built
Used, typical asking$280K to $440K
Yearly running costs$15K to $35K

With the 33 CC gone from Front Runner's current lineup, buyers shop brokerage boats from roughly the 2022 to 2025 model years. One 2023 boat on triple Mercury 300s with about 350 hours was advertised by United Yacht Sales at $365,000 in 2025, which is a useful midpoint. Triple engines, a Seakeeper Ride system, open-array radar and remaining engine warranty push values up; twin-engine boats with higher hours and older electronics sit at the bottom of the range. A matching trailer adds real value because the 10 ft beam makes the boat easy to haul and store ashore.

Our verdict on the Front Runner 33 CC

The Front Runner 33 CC is a niche buy: a well-equipped, long-legged offshore monohull from a builder that has since put its energy into catamarans. Data is thin, so you buy it on condition, engine hours and the builder's reputation rather than on test numbers. If you find a clean, low-hour boat with a trailer near the $365,000 mark seen for a 2023 triple, it is a strong alternative to better-known 33 footers. If you need a long service record and easy resale, a Contender or Regulator is the safer bet.
