About Yatch US

Independent research on yachts and boats sold in the United States.

Yatch US exists for one reason. Buying a yacht is one of the largest purchases most people ever make, and the information available online is scattered across dealer brochures, forum threads and listings written to sell a specific boat. We put the useful parts in one place and write them down plainly.

What we publish

Every model page brings together verified specifications, the history of the design, how the boat behaves at sea, what it costs new and used in the United States, and a checklist of the things that go wrong on that particular model as it ages. Today we cover 893 models from 211 builders across 14 yacht types, from trailerable sailboats to superyachts.

Alongside the reviews we publish buying and ownership guides and free calculators for running costs, loans, range and hull speed.

How we stay independent

We do not sell boats, take listings or earn commission on sales. The site is supported by advertising, which is always clearly separated from editorial content and never influences what we write about a model. Builders do not review or approve our pages before publication.

How we research

Specifications come from builder documentation, class associations, naval architects and published sea trials. Price ranges are our own estimates based on asking prices, sold data where available and new boat pricing, and they are labeled as estimates everywhere they appear. You can read the full method in our editorial policy.
