What a Sunseeker 76 Yacht costs today
Most people researching the Sunseeker 76 Yacht start with price, so we will too. When it was introduced in 2017, Sunseeker quoted a base price of about 4.05 million pounds before VAT, and most boats were ordered with packages that pushed the figure past 4.6 million pounds. Translate that into today's dollars, add inflation and US commissioning, and a new boat now realistically costs $5.5 million to $6.8 million depending on specification.
The used market is where most American buyers will shop. Seven boats listed globally in 2026 ranged from about $2.4 million for a 2018 boat in Croatia to about $4.5 million for a 2025 hull, with an average close to $3.9 million. A 2018 boat in Fort Lauderdale was listed at just under $3.4 million, which shows the premium US-located boats carry over European ones.
The Sunseeker 76 yacht price you actually pay depends mostly on three things: age, the location of the boat and how it was specified. A 2018 boat in Europe needs to be imported, may need electrical conversion and might be VAT paid or not. That can be a $200,000 to $400,000 swing in real cost, so always compare landed prices, not just asking prices.
Superyacht presence in a boat an owner can still drive
At 77 feet 5 inches with a 19-foot 6-inch beam and roughly 118,000 pounds of displacement at half load, the 76 sits at the point where flybridge cruisers start to feel like small superyachts. YachtBuyer's testers summarized it as a very accomplished package that gives superyacht volume and presence while remaining manageable for an owner operator, supported by the right crew.
Sunseeker built it with hand-laid GRP, a vinylester skin coat to resist osmosis and balsa-cored topsides and superstructure to save weight up high. It carries CE Category A certification, which means it is designed for open ocean conditions. In practice that gives a Bahamas or Caribbean owner a lot of confidence in a building sea.
Forward cockpit, flybridge spa and a hardtop that opens
The 76 has two cockpits: the familiar aft deck and a forward cockpit with seating and sunpads on the foredeck. The forward area is the best spot on the boat when stern-to in a busy harbor, because it is private and catches the breeze. High bulwarks and teak decks make moving forward safe at sea.
On the flybridge, most boats have a hardtop with an opening section, a bar, a large sunbathing area, an upper helm with companion seating and an optional hot tub. YachtBuyer's testers noted there is no sink near the transom grill, a small but irritating omission if you cook outside often.
- Forward cockpit on the foredeck
- Optional flybridge hot tub
- Hardtop with opening section
- Upper and lower helms, joystick docking on many boats
Saloon, galley placement and four guest cabins
The main deck runs on one level from cockpit to saloon and dining area, with glazing so extensive that Sunseeker describes the view as almost 360 degrees. The lower helm is forward. The only consistent criticism from reviewers is that the saloon backrests sit a little low for long evenings.
Sunseeker offered the galley amidships as standard, enclosed and separated from guests, or aft as an option. The enclosed galley is the better choice if you run with crew, because the chef can work without being in the middle of the party. Owner-operators who cook for themselves tend to prefer the aft position. Reviewers have praised the large fridge and freezer, generous storage, extraction and Miele dishwasher.
Below, there are four guest cabins and four guest heads. The full-beam master is amidships with a dressing area, the VIP is forward with a desk and dressing unit, and two further doubles complete the lower deck. Crew accommodation is aft, reached through a deck hatch, with space for up to three crew (one Aquaholic-toured boat had it split over two cabins), a separate toilet and shower, laundry, a small crew galley and direct access to the engine room.
MAN V12 performance and realistic fuel planning
Power is a pair of MAN V12 diesels on conventional shafts, the same engine family used in the Sunseeker 75 Sport Yacht. Sunseeker's current specification lists the V12-1400 as standard and the V12-1550 as the option, and most boats on the brokerage market carry the 1,550 hp engines. In the 76, the builder traded a little top-end speed for displacement and range. Maximum speed is about 30 to 32 knots, with a cruise of nearly 25 knots and an economical 10-knot passage speed.
Reviewers quote about 400 nautical miles at cruise, and Sunseeker quotes 500 miles at 10 knots from the 1,585-gallon tanks. Simple arithmetic on that cruise figure points to a combined burn on the order of 100 gallons per hour at 25 knots, so a summer season of fast cruising becomes a significant diesel bill. Most owners slow down on longer legs and use the 25-knot setting to dodge weather.
A single 27 kW generator is standard, but most boats left Poole with the Platinum Package, which adds a second 27 kW unit, the hardtop with electric canopy, Vector fin stabilizers and upgraded thrusters. A watermaker and tropical air conditioning are common upgrades, and a third engine control station in the cockpit helps when mooring stern-to.
Running costs, crew and a realistic annual budget
A boat this size needs crew. Most owners run a full-time captain and at least one additional crew member, often a stewardess or mate who can also cook. With salaries, insurance on a $4 million vessel, dockage for an 80-foot slip, MAN V12 services, generator and stabilizer upkeep, an annual haul and routine refits, a realistic US budget is $400,000 to $650,000 a year, before fuel-heavy seasons.
The model's popularity on the charter market helps. Several 76s are in charter programs, especially in the Mediterranean, and a well run charter season can offset a meaningful slice of running costs. Expect wear on charter boats, though, and have the interior and soft goods carefully surveyed.
Awards and how the 76 has aged
The 76 Yacht won the flybridge over 60 feet category at the 2020 Motor Boat Awards, the Robb Report's yachts up to 100 feet award in 2018 and the Yacht Style Awards best international motor yacht in Asia from 15 to 24 meters in 2018. It was also a finalist for the Asia Boating Awards in 2018 and 2019.
Nearly a decade after launch, the design has aged well. The profile still looks contemporary, and the layout choices, particularly the forward cockpit, enclosed galley option and crew area, have proven practical. That is why values have held up comparatively well compared with many European flybridges of the same vintage.

How much does a Sunseeker 76 Yacht cost?
At launch the 76 Yacht was priced at about 4.05 million pounds before VAT, with a typical equipped boat closer to 4.6 million pounds. Used asking prices now run from roughly $2.4 million for an early European boat to around $4.9 million for a nearly new hull, averaging about $3.9 million. The flybridge hot tub, the Platinum Package (hardtop, fin stabilizers, second generator), the V12-1550 engines and US-standard electrical systems all move a boat toward the top of its year band.

Compare side by sideOur verdict on the Sunseeker 76 Yacht
The Sunseeker 76 Yacht is one of the most complete 75 to 80 foot flybridges of its era, with superyacht presence, a CE Category A hull and genuinely useful features like the forward cockpit and enclosed galley. It is expensive to run and realistically needs crew, but its awards record and steady values make it a sound purchase. The best value right now is a 2018 to 2021 US-located boat with full MAN service history, a hardtop and fin stabilizers, priced in the low to mid $3 million range.
