- Bahamas and Great Loop cruisers
- Owners stepping from trawlers who want 20-knot reserve
- Buyers who prefer European design without Italian pricing
How Sirena Yachts built a range around a Frers hull
Sirena Yachts is the motor yacht brand of a Turkish group that spent years building Magellano yachts for Azimut under a joint venture with Azimut-Benetti, which Yachting dates to 2008. The company launched its own range in 2017 with the Sirena 64, sold four of them in two months, and followed with the 58 in 2018. Both share the same recipe: a hull and exterior by Germán Frers, the Argentine designer best known for race-winning sailboats, and a calm, residential interior by Florentine designer Tommaso Spadolini.
For American buyers searching Sirena Yachts USA, the 58 became the brand's volume model and the one most often seen at Florida shows. A Coupé version followed in 2020, and in 2025 Sirena replaced the 58 with the Sirena 60, which keeps the three-stateroom layout but adds a reworked transom and larger swim platform. That makes the 58 a discontinued model, but a very young one: most boats on the market were built between 2019 and 2024.
Sirena 58 by the numbers
- Speed to length ratio at cruise
- 2.14Runs in the semi-displacement range, faster than a trawler but thirstier per mile.
- Horsepower per ton
- 58 hpStrong power to weight for a planing hull.
- Length to beam ratio
- 3.47 : 1Moderate proportions.
A semi-displacement hull that can still plane
Sirena describes the 58 as semi-displacement, and the numbers back that up: an overall length of 61 feet including the swim platform, a 55-foot 9-inch waterline, a 17-foot 7-inch beam and a draft of about 4 feet 1 inch. The plumb bow stretches the waterline for low-speed efficiency and frees up volume in the forward cabin. Below the waterline Power & Motoryacht found a moderately round bilge, a pronounced full-length knuckle, propeller tunnels, a fine entry and a shallow central skeg for tracking.
Construction is resin-infused fiberglass with carbon fiber reinforcement. The flybridge version weighs about 28 tonnes light with the standard Volvos, roughly 61,700 pounds, and 34.5 tonnes loaded according to the builder's specification sheet. The boat is CE Category A, Sirena's design team aiming squarely at owners who make long passages rather than short hops between marinas.
The trade-off is spray. Power & Motoryacht's European editor, testing in a 3- to 4-foot sea off Cannes, praised how the fine entry handled head seas with almost no slamming, but noted regular sheets of spray over the foredeck and occasionally onto the flybridge at 20-plus knots, and a slight tendency to wander downwind with a crowd up top. At the 10- to 16-knot speeds the boat was designed around, those issues largely disappear.
Galley aft, salon forward and nearly 360 degrees of glass
The main deck is laid out on one level with the galley aft, next to the cockpit doors, and the salon forward with seating for eight on L-shaped sofas. The helm sits forward to port, a choice that makes docking to port easy but forces right-handed skippers to work the throttles with the left hand. Headroom is 6 feet 7 inches on the main deck, and the windows wrap nearly all the way around.
Side decks are wide and sheltered under the flybridge overhang behind tall bulwarks, which testers called practical and seamanlike. A 2023 example listed in Miami had limestone-style countertops, a dishwasher, convection microwave, fridge and freezer drawers in the galley and a hydraulic platform that launches a Highfield tender.
Up top, the flybridge has a U-shaped dinette, a lounge pad, a two-seat helm to port and a hardtop with a retractable sunroof on many boats, with open space aft for loose furniture.
Three layouts below, all with en suite heads
Sirena offered three accommodation plans. The standard boat has a full-beam master amidships, 17 feet 7 inches wide, with a centerline berth, desk and large hull windows; a forepeak VIP with its berth raised to a home-like height; and a third cabin to port with twin berths, whose head doubles as the day head. A two-cabin version gives two near-equal suites, and an alternate three-cabin plan moves the master forward.
Down below there is 6 feet 5 inches of headroom. Power & Motoryacht's tester singled out the midships master as exceptionally roomy for the class, and suggested the VIP and twin shower stalls could be larger. Aft of the engine room is a crew cabin with its own head, which most US owners use for a captain on deliveries or as a bunk room for teenagers.
On the Coupé, Sirena added an optional bi-level master forward with a private stair to a foredeck lounge, a layout Power & Motoryacht's reviewer said he fell in love with.
Volvo or Cat power, and what testers actually measured
Standard power is a pair of 670 hp Volvo Penta D11 diesels on ZF 325 IV V-drives. Options listed by Sirena include Volvo D13 900s, Caterpillar C8.7 650s and Caterpillar C12.9 850s. The engines sit well aft, which is what makes the full-beam master possible.
Builder figures for the flybridge boat are a 27-knot top speed with the standard Volvos, 30 knots with the largest engines, a 16-knot cruise and an economy cruise of 10 knots, at which the 950-gallon tank gives about 850 nautical miles with a 10 percent reserve.
Real-world testing was more modest. Power & Motoryacht's boat had the smaller C8.7s, a season of hull fouling and 15 people aboard, and reached only 21.6 knots at 2,170 rpm against a rated 2,300. At 1,800 rpm it cruised comfortably at 16 to 17 knots. A 2023 Volvo D11 boat on the US market is described by its broker as making 26 knots with a 16-knot cruise. Expect most owners to settle in at 9 to 11 knots for passages and 15 to 17 knots when they need to beat weather.
- Standard: 2 x Volvo Penta D11 670 hp, ZF V-drives
- Options: Volvo D13 900, Caterpillar C8.7 650, Caterpillar C12.9 850
- Builder: 27 to 30 knots top, 16-knot cruise, 850 nm at 10 knots
- Power & Motoryacht test (C8.7, fouled hull): 21.6 knots top, 16 to 17 knots at 1,800 rpm
- Fuel 950 gallons, water 210 gallons, black water 120 gallons
What it costs to cruise a Sirena 58
Plan on about $90,000 to $180,000 a year before depreciation for a privately operated 58: a 60- to 65-foot slip, insurance, Volvo or Caterpillar services, generator upkeep (Power & Motoryacht's Coupé test boat had a 21.5 kW Onan), bottom and running gear, and fuel. Gyro stabilization and joystick docking appear on US listings and make owner-operation realistic for a couple.
The best way to keep costs down is to use the hull the way Frers drew it. At 10 knots the fuel bill is a fraction of what it is at 20, and the range makes the Bahamas, the Northeast and the Great Loop's open-water legs comfortable without constant fuel stops.
Finding a Sirena 58 for sale, and how pricing works
Because the model ran for only about seven years, Sirena 58 for sale listings are thin, typically a handful at a time. The 2023 Sirena 58 search term is popular for a reason: 2023 boats are among the newest examples, and one has been listed at about $2.24 to $2.39 million in Miami with Volvo D11s, a Seakeeper and a Highfield tender.
The Sirena 58 price on early boats is lower. Power & Motoryacht's test boat was priced at $1.59 million landed, and our 2026 estimate for early hulls is $1.25 to $1.6 million depending on engines and equipment. Expect the arrival of the Sirena 60 to put modest pressure on 58 values, which makes a well-kept 2020 to 2022 boat the sweet spot.

How much does a Sirena 58 cost?
Power & Motoryacht's test boat with Caterpillar C8.7s was priced at $1,590,000 including shipping, duty and commissioning but before sales tax. A 2023 three-stateroom Sirena 58 with Volvo D11s, Seakeeper and Garmin package has been listed at about $2.24 to $2.39 million in Miami, which marks the top of today's range. Year, engine choice, flybridge versus Coupe, stabilization and whether the boat has had a US-specification electrical fit are the main price drivers.

Compare side by sideOur verdict on the Sirena 58
The Sirena 58 is one of the smartest long-range flybridges of its generation: a Frers hull that is efficient at 10 knots and capable of the mid-20s, a full-beam master that rivals 65-footers, and build quality that comes from years of making Magellanos for Azimut. It is wetter than a traditional bow at speed and real-world top speeds trail the brochure, but bought as a 16-knot cruiser with 850-mile legs, it is excellent value against its Italian and American rivals.
