The Absolute Navetta 58 launched the Navetta line in 2014. The 2020 to 2025 version is 57 feet 2 inches with twin 600 hp Volvo IPS800s, three en suite cabins and a crew cabin; a new third generation arrived for 2026.

Best for
  • Couples and families who want trawler comfort with planing speed
  • Owner-operators who dock shorthanded
  • East Coast and Gulf Coast coastal cruising
  • Buyers stepping up from a Navetta 48 or 52

Three boats under one Navetta 58 badge

The absolute navetta 58, often typed as absolut navetta 58, is the model that started Absolute's whole Navetta idea, and it has now been built in three distinct versions. The original launched in 2014. A second version, which Absolute later branded "The Absolute Leader," was built from 2020 to 2025 at 57 feet 2 inches. And in October 2025 the yard announced the Navetta 58 Andromeda, an all-new third generation for 2026 with a bow owner's suite and bigger engines.

Because most boats on the US market, and most of the published test data, belong to the 2020 to 2025 boat, that is the version detailed in the specifications on this page. The original and the new Andromeda each get their own section so you can tell them apart in listings, which matters because asking prices for the three range from well under $1.5 million to around $3 million.

2014, the first Navetta of all

Power and Motoryacht previewed the 58 in April 2014, ahead of a launch planned for that September's Cannes show, and MBY drove hull No. 1 at the Genoa show in a mint-green hull that nobody could miss. Absolute's goal was to avoid both a fast trawler adapted from a sport boat and an imitation of traditional displacement trawlers. The result had a plumb stem that extends usable space below, near-vertical topsides, and a high chine in the forward sections to knock down spray in big seas. Its US representative expected 24 to 26 knots and a US-spec price around $2 million.

Buyers could choose IPS600 or IPS800 pods, and the IPS800-powered hull No. 1 went just shy of 29 knots on MBY's first drive. The full-beam master sat amidships with a king on the centerline, and the twin crew cabin aft gave access to a walk-in engine room. The 58 won the Trawler and Aft Cabin category at the 2015 Motor Boat Awards. YachtBuyer lists this first version at 55 feet 9 inches with a 16-foot-7-inch beam and the same 634-gallon tank as its successor.

The 2020 to 2025 boat on deck

Absolute's 2021 specification lists the second version at 17.42 meters, a 5.04-meter beam, 2,400 liters of fuel and 650 liters of water, with twin Volvo Penta D8 IPS800 pods. BoatTEST adds a 4-foot-7-inch draft and a loaded displacement of 73,171 pounds.

Safety around the decks is excellent. BoatTEST measured bulwarks of 22 inches at the bow topped by 10-inch rails, rising to 30-inch bulwarks and 36-inch rail height along the aft side decks, which are fully covered overhead. The cockpit sits under the flybridge overhang with 6 feet 1 inch of headroom, a stern lounge and a fixed table, and a shade lowers for privacy. Acrylic gates lead to a hydraulic platform with integral stairs and a door into the crew quarters.

The flybridge covers about two-thirds of the boat's length. A central helm with a single bucket seat is flanked by lounges, a bar holds an ice maker, fridge and grill, a J-shaped lounge wraps a sturdy table, and the open boat deck aft takes a tender or two loungers. Forward, a sofa on the face of the pilothouse and a sunpad with three adjustable backrests complete the outdoor spaces.

Etched glass, a rising TV and a helm you drive from outside

Double sliding doors and a galley window that retracts into the counter open the aft saloon to the cockpit. The galley and a U-shaped dinette share this aft level, and an electric etched-glass partition slides out to separate them from the raised forward lounge two steps up, where a 50-inch TV rises from a cabinet on a lift. Headroom is 6 feet 7 inches, and the forward windscreen has no central pillars.

The lower helm uses EmpirBus digital switching and can carry twin 17-inch Garmin displays. Its watertight starboard door has an inset hinged window that BoatTEST said was the first of its type it had seen, and the throttles, joystick and thruster controls are placed so the skipper can step onto the side deck and keep a hand on the controls with a full view down the starboard side.

Three en suite cabins and a two-berth crew room

Below, the full-beam owner's stateroom is amidships, with a double berth accessible from three sides, a desk, a vanity and a large bathroom. The VIP in the bow benefits from the near-plumb stem, which carries volume right forward. The third cabin has twin berths that join electrically into a double, and unlike many three-cabin boats each of the three has its own head. Sliding doors are used throughout the lower deck.

The crew quarters, reached from the transom, sleep two with a head and shower, storage and portlights, and a door leads directly into the engine room. On an owner-run boat it is useful overflow space for guests or a delivery captain. Common options include Volvo's Dynamic Positioning System and a Seakeeper gyrostabilizer.

About 0.4 miles per gallon from 15 knots to the top

Weather stopped BoatTEST from running its own trial of the 2021 boat, so it published Absolute's figures: 27.7 knots at 3,071 rpm with the twin D8 IPS800s, and best cruise at 2,300 rpm and 15.1 knots on 37.5 gph. That works out to about 0.4 nautical miles per gallon and 230 nautical miles of range with a 10 percent reserve, and the efficiency stays near 0.4 nautical miles per gallon all the way from 2,300 rpm to full throttle.

In other words, as on many IPS planing boats, the 58 covers roughly the same distance per tankful at 15 knots as at 25, so most owners pick a speed for comfort. Absolute described the boat as suited to both coastal cruising and longer voyages; for longer passages, slowing to displacement speed is the way to stretch the 634 gallons.

Navetta 58 Andromeda, the 2026 generation

Announced in October 2025, the Navetta 58 Andromeda is not a facelift. Absolute lists it at 17.60 meters with a 5.16-meter beam, 2,800 liters of fuel (about 740 gallons), 730 liters of water and twin Volvo Penta D11 IPS950 pods at 725 hp each, with capacity for 16 people. The look changes too, with large "squircular" bow windows, glazed coamings at the cockpit, reverse-angled transom sides and a platform with a fixed or automatic ladder.

The biggest change is below. Following Absolute's newer boats, the owner's suite moves forward to the bow with full-beam proportions and an optional walk-in wardrobe, the VIP takes the midships space with its own bathroom, and the twin cabin still converts electrically to a double. Up top, a step-free flybridge carries an L-shaped sofa with sliding table, a wet bar with grill, fridge and ice maker, and a hardtop with an optional sliding section or solar panels. No independent sea trial had been published at the time of writing.

Listings marked as model-year 2026 can be confusing: at least one US boat advertised as a 2026 Navetta 58 in 2026 carries D8 IPS800s, which identifies it as a late second-generation hull rather than an Andromeda.

Asking prices from Charleston to Longboat Key

Second-generation boats hold value well. Yachts360 asked $1.78 million for a low-hour 2020 boat in Charleston in early 2024, and Galati Yacht Sales asked $2.599 million in 2026 for a late boat with about 250 hours in Longboat Key, Florida. A realistic 2026 range is $1.6 million to $2.6 million for 2020 to 2025 hulls, depending on year, hours, gyro and DPS. First-generation boats generally fall between about $1.25 million and $1.55 million.

Annual running costs typically run $90,000 to $150,000 for a 60-foot slip, insurance, IPS and engine service, gyro, generator, air conditioning, bottom work and fuel, more with a paid captain. At a 15-knot cruise you will burn about 37.5 gph.

Used, typical asking$1.25M to $2.6M
Yearly running costs$90K to $150K

BoatTEST listed a base retail price of $1,704,000 for the 2021 boat with D8 IPS800s. In the US, a 2020 boat named Neverland asked $1.78 million in early 2024, and a late model-year 2026 boat with about 250 hours asked $2.599 million in 2026. First-generation boats sit lower; a 2016 example in Croatia asked about $1.45 million. The new 2026 Andromeda generation, with IPS950 power and more fuel, is a separate and pricier proposition, and we estimate a typical US-delivered boat at around $2.9 million to $3.5 million.

Our verdict on the Absolute Navetta 58

The Absolute Navetta 58 is the model that proved the Navetta concept, and the 2020 to 2025 version is its most refined expression for used buyers: three en suite cabins, a real crew cabin, deep bulwarks and a helm designed for one-person docking, all on a hull that delivers similar range at 15 or 25 knots. Its limitations are planing range and looks that not everyone loves. Shop carefully by generation, because the same name covers a 2014 original, the 2020 to 2025 Leader and the new 2026 Andromeda, and prices differ by more than a million dollars between them.
