The Absolute Navetta 75 as the top of the range

The Absolute Navetta 75 is the largest boat Absolute builds, the flagship above the Navetta 70, 66, 62, 58, 53 and 50. It arrived in 2022, was sea-trialed by the trade press off Cannes and collected a World Yachts Trophies award for interior design in its first season. Absolute gave it the theme name the absolute sphere, meant to signal balance between proportions, performance and glazing.

Buyers searching for the Absolute Navetta 75 price or for an Absolute 75 yacht usually want to know two things: is it a crewed yacht or an owner's boat, and how does it differ from the Navetta 73 that came first? The short answers are that it sits right on the border between owner-operated and crewed, and that the 75 keeps the 73's interior bones while changing almost everything you see from the dock.

What the extra 18 inches over the Navetta 73 bought

Power and Motoryacht's Alan Harper explains that the 75 is a further development of the Navetta 73, with an additional 18 inches of hull length used in the stern for more generous crew accommodation. The internal bulkheads did not move, so the lower-deck guest layout and the deck salon are essentially the same as the 73's. The 73 remained in production for a time alongside the new boat.

The exterior is where the 75 breaks away. The gunwales now dip as they run aft, extending the deep midships cutaway back to the cockpit; the transom opens up behind a clear glass balustrade instead of the 73's high, squared-off bulwarks; and the cluttered mix of square and round hull windows has been gathered into two large raked, tinted panels. Fin-like haunches on the stern quarters hide cleats, fairleads, winches and the shore power connections. MBY argued it might be the loveliest looking boat in the Absolute fleet; Harper rather preferred the boxier 73.

A bow suite with its own staircase

Like the old 68, the 75 places its owner's cabin forward on a level of its own, pushed up by the narrowing hull. It spans the full beam, has a forward-facing bed, about 6 feet 6 inches of headroom according to Yachting, a desk and vanity, and an en suite in the bow with twin sinks on the centerline and separate shower and toilet compartments. The clincher, in Harper's view, is a private companionway that drops from the starboard side of the wheelhouse, so the owner never walks through the guest corridor.

The void beneath the raised suite becomes a utility and storage room reached through a pocket door, with shelving molded even into the bow thruster compartment. Below, the full-beam VIP amidships keeps the open-plan arrangement Absolute likes: basin under a big hull window, head and shower in their own compartments on either side. A guest double with an athwartships berth and en suite sits forward to port, and a twin to starboard shares the day head. Sliding doors replace swinging ones throughout, which testers consistently praise.

Galley forward, an internal stair and two helms

The boats the press tested ran a galley-forward main deck, although Absolute offers two interior arrangements and at least one US boat on the brokerage market has its galley aft. The lounge with Minotti sofas is aft by the cockpit doors, the eight-seat dining table sits amidships beside windows nearly 8 feet long, and the Miele galley is forward where it can serve both the table and the wheelhouse. A partition rises to close it off when crew are cooking, and a pantograph side door lets them reach the deck without crossing the salon. That is the clearest sign that the 75 is designed to work with a captain and stewardess aboard.

MBY singles out the internal staircase between the main deck and the flybridge as a feature few rivals match. It lets the skipper swap helms quickly and gives guests a dry route upstairs. The lower helm has two multi-adjustable leather chairs, two angled displays plus a larger navigator's screen and Absolute's digital boat management system. With both helms well forward, a third docking station in the cockpit wet bar, with joystick, thruster and chain counter, is close to essential for stern-to mooring.

An upper deck you furnish yourself

The flybridge is long enough that Harper called it an upper deck rather than a bridge. Fixed furniture is limited to the centerline helm, a small sofa, an aft bar and two long sideboards flanking a dining table, with twin Kenyon grills and cold storage built in. Everything else is modular Terraforma furniture held in place by weight and rubber feet, so owners rearrange it for dining, lounging or sunbathing. The hardtop has a retractable canvas section, which Yachting says opens about 80 percent of its length, and solar panels can replace the sunroof.

The foredeck adds sunpads with adjustable backrests and a small sofa and table, and there is a pull-out shower at the bow meant for washing muddy ground lines off the deck. One warning from Harper: the open gaps in the cockpit bulwark gates are wide enough for a small child or dog to slip through, so families should plan to add netting or panels.

Sea trials off Cannes, three tests and one verdict

The 75's only engine is a pair of Volvo Penta IPS1350 pods driven by 1,000 hp D13 diesels. Yachting's test in calm water recorded 24.9 knots at 2,470 rpm and about 102 gph, a 19.6-knot cruise at 2,100 rpm on 67 gph for roughly 279 nautical miles, 14.8 knots at 1,800 rpm on 47 gph, and 541 nautical miles at 10.8 knots, all with a 10 percent reserve. MBY measured 25 knots, 270 liters per hour at 20 knots and 33.5 liters per hour at 8 knots, good for 237 and 783 nautical miles respectively, with 66.6 decibels at 20 knots.

Harper's run was the most revealing. In a Force 5 to 6 westerly with 4 to 5 foot seas, with the Seakeeper switched off and the Volvo trim system disabled, he expected a tall boat to roll. It did not: the fine forefoot sliced through the swell, the hull felt solid and stable beam-on, and it tracked well with seas on the quarter. Handling is relaxed rather than sporty and the steering is light, but nobody who tested it doubted its seakeeping.

  • Top speed: 24.9 knots (Yachting), 25 knots (MBY), just over 25 knots (PMY)
  • Cruise: 19.6 knots at 67 gph, about 279 nm with reserve (Yachting)
  • Long range: 783 nm at 8 knots (MBY)
  • Fuel 1,057 gallons, water 293 gallons

Crew quarters a 100-footer would envy

The stern extension went into the crew area, and it shows. Absolute offers two or three berths, one of them in a separate cabin for the skipper, a head with separate toilet and shower rooms, a washer and dryer, and in the two-berth version a small mess with galley. Access is through the transom, a gas-strut window hinges up for light and air, headroom is over 6 feet, and a watertight door leads directly into the engine room, which itself has more than 6 feet of standing room.

YachtBuyer's reviewer said some 100-foot yachts have worse crew accommodation. For an owner who wants a full-time captain without a 90-footer's running costs, this is the deciding feature.

What a Navetta 75 really costs

The base price MBY quoted, 3.68 million euros ex VAT, comes with teak decks, a proportional bow thruster, tropical air conditioning, Interceptor trim tabs and twin inverters. YachtBuyer's recommended additions are the hardtop (a Bimini is standard), the hydraulic bathing platform, the cockpit docking station, twin generators, the crew cabin fit-out and a Seakeeper 18, and almost every boat delivered to the US has them. That is how a 2025 boat came to be listed at 5.25 million dollars in Palm Beach with transferable Volvo Penta coverage through 2030.

Budget around 260,000 to 450,000 dollars a year once a captain's salary, insurance, an 80-foot slip, pod and generator service and fuel are included. Absolute's Integrated Structural System, a CNC-cut internal grid bonded into the hull, gives very consistent build quality, which should help the 75 hold value better than many production yachts of its size.

Our verdict on the Absolute Navetta 75

The Navetta 75 is the boat where Absolute's navetta idea makes the most sense, because at 75 feet the tall proportions finally look right and the volume pays for itself in a bow suite with its own staircase, a VIP that is a second master and crew space better than many larger yachts. It will not thrill a driver, and 25 knots is the ceiling, but every tester who took it into rough water came back impressed. For an owner who wants to cruise for weeks with a captain aboard, it is one of the most complete yachts under 80 feet.
