Which Azimut 30 are you looking at?

Three different yachts answer to "Azimut 30". The subject of this page is the Azimut Grande 30 Metri, a 95-foot raised-pilothouse flybridge that YachtBuyer dates to 2018 through 2021 and that now trades only on the brokerage market. In 2025 Azimut reused the number for an entirely new Grande 30M, a 94-foot pod-driven yacht with a walkaround skydeck, covered in its own section below. And the Magellano 30 Metri is a long-range crossover from a different series altogether.

Most people searching "azimut 30 metri for sale" or "azimut 30 metri price" are looking at the older boat, because that is where the listings are. The quickest way to sort a listing is the propulsion: shafts and a build year before 2022 mean the Grande 30 Metri; pods and a 2025 or later build mean the new 30M.

From the Grande 95RPH to the 30 Metri

The 30 Metri is best understood as the metric-named continuation of a recipe Azimut introduced in spring 2014 with the Grande 95RPH, where RPH stands for raised pilot house. MBY's preview of that boat describes the same essentials: Stefano Righini styling with a swooping, heavily glazed superstructure, a wheelhouse lifted out of the main deck and reached by a spiral stair, the owner's suite forward on the main deck with floor-to-ceiling glass, four guest cabins below, three crew cabins for four, and 12,000 liters of fuel. The 30 Metri carries the identical fuel figure, cabin plan and designer.

Hull numbering supports the link. YachtBuyer reported that Indigo, delivered in 2018, was the 25th unit of the series, far more than a model introduced that year could have produced. When Azimut moved the Grande range to metric names around 2017 and 2018, this platform became the Grande 30 Metri alongside the 27, 32 and 35 Metri.

Owner forward, guests below, crew in their own world

Lifting the wheelhouse is what makes the layout work. With the helm out of the main deck, the saloon runs long, with a dedicated dining area flanked by full-height glass, and the owner's suite claims the bow with panoramic windows down both sides. Achille Salvagni's interior uses mahogany, leather and grey oak, full-height wooden Venetian blinds and his flowing, sculptural joinery, which some critics have likened to a contemporary take on the Italian Renaissance.

Below are four en suite guest cabins: two VIPs with queen berths and two twins. The crew area has three cabins and two heads with direct access to the galley above, so service never crosses guest space. The flybridge runs nearly full width with a bar, dining table and sun pads, and there is a lounge on the foredeck and a tender garage aft. Indigo carries a twin-engine Boston Whaler in hers, plus a davit crane for a second toy.

Twin MTUs on shafts, and honest speed expectations

Power comes from a pair of MTU 16V 2000 diesels on conventional shafts. YachtBuyer's spec lists the M96 rating at 2,400 hp each and a top speed of 29 knots with a 22-knot cruise and about 350 nautical miles of range at that speed. Individual boats vary: Indigo's listing names MTU 16V 2000 M86 engines and quotes a 26-knot top end, and MBY gave the original 95RPH 26.5 knots. A realistic expectation for a loaded boat is mid-20s flat out and low 20s at fast cruise.

Because range at 22 knots is short for a yacht this size, owners who cross from Florida to the Bahamas or run the US East Coast will often slow to displacement speeds to stretch the 3,170 gallons. No independent fuel curve was published, so ask the seller's captain for logged burn rates at the speeds you intend to use.

  • LOA 95 feet 6 inches, beam 23 feet 2 inches, draft 6 feet 9 inches at full load
  • Fuel 3,170 gallons, water 528 gallons, displacement about 245,000 pounds at full load
  • 2 x MTU 16V 2000 series, about 2,400 hp each on most boats
  • Builder-quoted 29 knots top, 22 knots cruise, 350 nm at 22 knots

The 2025 Grande 30M is a different yacht

Azimut unveiled the new Grande 30M project at Cannes in 2023, launched the first unit at its Viareggio yard in 2025 and gave it a world debut at that year's Cannes Yachting Festival. Alberto Mancini drew the exterior and the Milan studio m2atelier did the interior under a Barefoot Luxury theme. It is 28.69 meters (94 feet 2 inches) long with a 7.3-meter (23 foot 11 inch) beam, displaces 120.5 tonnes at full load and carries the same 12,000 liters of fuel as the old boat.

Underneath, almost everything changed. The new 30M uses Azimut's D2P displacement-to-planing hull with a wave-piercing bow, carbon fiber in the upper structure and the first Rolls-Royce mtu pod propulsion package, twin 1,800 hp MTUs that Azimut says are 15 percent more efficient than shafts. It is slower by design, at up to 25 knots and a 20-knot cruise, but has an Infinity Skydeck that runs walkaround from stern to bow, a Deck2Deck terrace over the transom, five guest cabins and three crew cabins, and RINA class. YachtBuyer saw one new-build listing at about $13 million.

Used market, slow sales and room to negotiate

This is not a fast-moving model. YachtBuyer found boats spent an average of about 724 days on the market over three years, with an average cut of nearly 11 percent from the first asking price. Listings cluster in the central Mediterranean and Mexico rather than Florida, so a US buyer should plan for delivery costs and, if the boat has never been imported, duty.

That slow turnover is an opportunity. A well-kept 30 Metri gives a buyer a 95-foot crewed yacht with a main deck master for about half the price of the new 30M, provided the survey shows sound shafts and running gear, healthy MTUs and a clean superstructure. Budget $650,000 to $1 million a year to run one with four crew, depending on how far and how often you cruise.

How much does a Azimut Grande 30 Metri cost?

New, typical sail-awayNo longer built
Used, typical asking$5M to $7.2M
Yearly running costs$650K to $1M

In 2026 YachtBuyer found two Grande 30 Metri boats for sale, asking about $5.4 million and $6.2 million, after earlier sales that asked $6.4 million to $7.2 million for 2019 and 2020 hulls. Indigo dropped $499,000 to $5.85 million in 2025, which shows how much room there is to negotiate. Stabilizers, engine hours, the state of the Salvagni joinery and whether the boat has been in charter matter more than the exact year.

Our verdict on the Azimut Grande 30 Metri

The Azimut Grande 30 Metri is a mature design rather than a new idea, and that is its appeal. The raised pilothouse frees the main deck for a genuine owner's suite forward, the crew live in their own world, and twin MTUs on shafts are a known quantity for any yard. Short range at speed and slow resale are the costs. Bought right, ideally from a seller who has already been on the market for a year, it is a lot of crewed yacht for the money. Just do not confuse it with the 2025 Grande 30M, which is a far more modern, pod-driven boat at roughly double the price.
