The Fountaine Pajot 67 is an Alegria 67 without the mast

Most people who type fountaine pajot 67 into a search bar want the Power 67, the motor yacht that sat at the top of the French yard's powercat range from 2021 until the FPY 70 took over. French magazine Voile et Moteur put it plainly: the Power 67 is the engine version of the Alegria 67 sailing catamaran, in the same way the later Power 80 was spun off the Thira 80. The bridgedeck, the hulls and the living plan come from a sailing platform, and the rig and sail-handling gear are replaced by a big flybridge and two diesels.

That origin explains the boat. It was never meant to chase 30 knots. Fountaine Pajot's flagship product director Yves de Kerangat told Power & Motoryacht the brief was a long-range, efficient boat, with semi-displacement hulls drawn to behave from about 7 to 20 knots. Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design did the naval architecture.

The Power 67 arrived in 2021, when Fountaine Pajot reorganized its motor range into the MY4.S, MY5, MY6 and Power 67. Hull No. 4 made its US debut at the Miami show in early 2023 after crossing the Atlantic on its own bottom, which is the best single piece of evidence for what the boat was built to do.

Thirty-two feet of beam, and what it does to your dock bill

Power & Motoryacht measured the Power 67 at 64 feet 6 inches overall with a beam of 32 feet 3 inches. Put another way, the boat is half as wide as it is long. That proportion is where the interior volume comes from, and it is also the first thing a US buyer should price out.

Very few transient slips on the East Coast take a 32-foot beam. In Florida and the Bahamas most marinas will put a cat this size on a T-head or an end tie and bill it by the foot, sometimes at a catamaran surcharge. Before committing to a boat, call the marinas you actually plan to use and ask about both availability and the rate. Owners who anchor most nights solve much of the problem, and the 3-foot 8-inch draft makes skinny-water anchorages in the Exumas and the Abacos realistic.

The other side of that width is stability. With hulls almost 10 meters apart, the boat sits flat at anchor in a way no 65-foot monohull can match.

Volvo D6 shafts and half a gallon per nautical mile

Standard power is a pair of 300 hp Volvo Penta D6 diesels driving conventional shafts, and the option is the 480 hp version of the same engine, which is what hull No. 4 carried. That is modest power for a boat that displaces about 104,000 pounds, and it is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight.

On the delivery across the Atlantic, de Kerangat said the 67 burned about 0.5 gallon per nautical mile while cruising at 10 to 12 knots. With 1,057 gallons in the tanks, that works out to roughly 1,100 nautical miles at 10 knots, the range Fountaine Pajot quoted, and about 1,700 nautical miles if you slow to displacement speed. Few motor yachts of this length can make a Florida to Bahamas to Turks and Caicos run without a planned fuel stop.

Top speed is the trade-off. Listings built from builder data quote about 18.6 knots, and we found no independent test with a full speed and fuel table. Treat the 67 as a 10 to 14 knot cruiser, and pick the 480 hp engines if you will run it heavily loaded or in the trades.

  • Standard engines: 2 x 300 hp Volvo Penta D6 on shafts
  • Optional engines: 2 x 480 hp Volvo Penta D6
  • Fuel 1,057 gallons, water 277 gallons
  • About 0.5 gallon per nautical mile at 10 to 12 knots (builder figure from a transatlantic delivery)

Four or five cabins, galley down or galley up

The plan sheets show a standard layout with the galley down in the port hull and an option that moves it up to the saloon. Below, buyers chose between four and five cabins, and the aft port cabin could be a double or a twin. Every cabin has its own head, and the owner's suite has direct access to the foredeck lounge.

The most unusual feature is a pair of mirrored double cabins reached from the forward bulkhead of the aft cockpit rather than from the saloon. On many large cats that space goes to crew, but Fountaine Pajot fitted it out as en suite guest cabins with a tinted sliding glass door, so guests can come and go without walking through the main living area. Hull No. 4 combined those two with one more cabin in each hull for four en suite staterooms in total, and a five-stateroom plan was also offered.

For a private family boat, look for the galley-down, four cabin plan, which frees the saloon for lounging. Check charter history before paying extra for five cabins.

A cockpit for a crowd, a sliding roof and a foredeck spa

Fountaine Pajot quoted a cockpit of 36 square meters, roughly 390 square feet, fully shaded by the flybridge overhang, and Power & Motoryacht counted three seating areas with room for more than a dozen people. A hydraulic swim platform joins the two hull ends into one full-width step to the water.

Up top, the flybridge covers about 32 square meters and carries four sunpads aft. A large section of the hardtop retracts electrically, so the same deck works in July sun and in a February norther. Forward of the saloon, a watertight centerline door opens to a foredeck with sunken seating for five and an optional two-person hot tub.

A lower helm without a wheel

One detail surprises experienced powerboaters. The interior helm on the review boat had throttles and an autopilot but no steering wheel. Fountaine Pajot's reasoning is that long passages are steered on autopilot from inside, while close-quarters work happens at the flybridge station, where visibility over a 32-foot beam is better. Rear-facing cameras feed both helms.

Power & Motoryacht's reviewer recommended the optional aft wing station, a fold-out panel with throttles and a joystick on the cockpit's aft bulkhead. On a boat this wide, seeing the stern quarters while backing into a slip is worth far more than the option cost.

What a Fountaine Pajot 67 costs in 2026

Fountaine Pajot never published a US list price for the Power 67, and the model no longer appears on the company's order books, so used boats set the market. Our estimate for 2026 is about $2.6 million to $3.9 million, with 2022 boats at the lower end and the last hulls at the top. The sailing Alegria 67 is the closest comparable with public asking prices, and a 2024 Alegria 67 was listed at $3.6 million in the BVI this year.

Boats with the 480 hp engines, the aft wing station, the hot tub, lithium storage and US-standard electrics deserve a premium. Ex-charter boats, or boats that need a VAT or CE paperwork fix to leave Europe, should be priced well below a privately owned American boat.

From Power 67 to FPY 70, and why it matters for resale

In late 2025 Fountaine Pajot launched a separate brand, Fountaine Pajot Yachts, for its largest boats. Voile et Moteur reported that the FPY 70 would be a modernized version of the yard's 67-foot platform, presented at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival with a choice of 2 x 300 or 2 x 600 hp. The FPY site now lists that boat, and the Power 67 name has gone.

For a buyer, the succession cuts both ways. Parts and hull knowledge stay inside the same factory and design office, but the newest boat on the dock will now be marketed against yours. That argues for a well-kept Power 67 at a fair discount rather than close to new money.

Crew, fuel and the real annual budget

At 64 feet and 104,000 pounds, most Power 67 owners will want at least a part-time captain for docking and deliveries. Budget roughly $180,000 to $320,000 a year before depreciation for wide-berth dockage, insurance, two D6 services, the generator, bottom work on two hulls, canvas and some paid crew time. Fuel is the pleasant surprise: at 10 knots, a 1,000-mile season burns roughly 500 gallons.

How much does a Fountaine Pajot Power 67 cost?

New, typical sail-awayNo longer built
Used, typical asking$2.6M to $3.9M
Yearly running costs$180K to $320K

Few Power 67s reach the open market, so expect pricing to be set boat by boat rather than by a deep comparables list. The 480 hp D6 package, the foredeck spa, a galley-up layout and a documented Atlantic delivery history all add value, while ex-Mediterranean boats need a check on CE electrical and VAT status. The sailing sister gives a useful yardstick, since a 2024 Alegria 67 was listed at $3.6 million in 2026.

Our verdict on the Fountaine Pajot Power 67

The Fountaine Pajot Power 67 suits an owner who measures a yacht in miles and nights at anchor rather than in knots. Its sailing-cat bones give it a frugal half gallon per mile, a draft that opens up the Bahamas and a stable deck for a crowd, and the shaft-driven D6 diesels are easy to service anywhere in the US. Accept a top speed in the high teens and a beam that rules out many marinas, and it delivers a lot of yacht for the money. With the FPY 70 now on sale, buy a privately owned, 480 hp boat with the aft wing station at a real discount.
