"The World Is Not Enough", Wajer's leap to 77 feet
Before the Wajer 77, the Dutch builder's largest boat was the Wajer 55. The 77 was unveiled in a livestream from Amsterdam in the spring of 2021 under the tagline "The World Is Not Enough", and Power & Motoryacht reported that 15 buyers had already pre-ordered it, among them Tom Brady, who had made headlines by tossing the Super Bowl trophy from his Wajer 55 S during the Tampa Bay boat parade. Brady said the 77 would better suit day trips and weekends in the Bahamas.
The first boat met the water in front of more than forty other Wajers off Saint-Tropez on a weekend in late July 2021, and Wajer announced more than 17 orders, with the first boats sold in the South of France, the Balearic Islands and the United States. For a company that built its reputation on 37 to 38-foot dayboats, that is a remarkable reception for a boat of this size.
The wajer 77 is still marketed as a dayboat, but it is really a fast weekender with crew quarters. That positioning is why it sits on this site among dayboats rather than motor yachts: the deck, not the interior, is the main event.
The numbers behind a 51-ton dayboat
Wajer lists the 77 at 23.45 meters (76 feet 11 inches) overall with a 5.80-meter (19-foot) beam and a 1.80-meter (5-foot 11-inch) draft. Half-load weight is about 51 tons. Power comes from three Volvo Penta D13 diesels on IPS pods, quoted as IPS 1200 with 900 hp each and an IPS 1350 option with 1,000 hp per engine. Wajer quotes a top speed of 37 knots and a 25-knot cruise with the IPS 1350 package and a range of 350 nautical miles.
Those figures come from the builder and match what Dries Wajer projected at the launch: about 37 knots. YachtBuyer quotes a 30-knot cruise and 400 nautical miles, which is more optimistic than Wajer's own sheet, so we use the builder's numbers. No independent magazine sea trial with a fuel curve has been published, so ask for engine data from a demonstration run if fuel burn matters to you.
- LOA 23.45 m (76 ft 11 in), beam 5.80 m (19 ft), draft 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in)
- About 51 tons at half load
- 3 x Volvo Penta IPS 1200 (900 hp) standard, IPS 1350 (1,000 hp) quoted for the speed figures
- 37 knots top, 25 knots cruise, 350 nm range (builder figures)
A deck that rearranges itself and fenders that inflate
Wajer packed the 77 with ideas first seen in smaller form on its other models. The patented hybrid fender system inflates and deflates fenders at the push of a button, so the topsides stay clean underway. The launch release also lists deck cooling, an automatic roof and an electrically adjustable deck layout, which lets owners move furniture to suit sunbathing, dining or a party.
The outdoor plan has circular seating and sun pads forward, and large sofas and a dining area aft. The wet bar includes a grill, ice maker, fridge, basin and a fold-down bench for two. Four suspension seats face the helm, where a navigation system, many sensors and a 360-degree top-view camera make docking easier, along with Volvo IPS joystick and dynamic positioning.
Then there are the toys. Wajer says the boat carries Seabobs, jet boards and a Williams 325 jet tender, with optional dive and kiteboarding gear, and YachtBuyer suggests the 77 may be the first chase boat to have its own tender garage.
Three suites below and a crew cabin hidden in the deck
Below deck there are three suites with high ceilings, electric blinds and privacy glass in the hull windows, sleeping six guests. Wajer quotes standing headroom of 2.15 to 2.35 meters and air conditioning in every room. The owner's stateroom adds a sofa and a transformable coffee table that doubles as a desk. A galley with a breakfast bar looks out through a hull window.
Two hatches hidden in the deck lead to a crew cabin with its own bathroom for a captain and deckhand, and to the technical room. At launch Wajer said the 77 could sleep nine people in total. The interior is designed to float on soft mounts inside the hull, with insulation that Wajer says makes it the quietest yacht in its class. Composite panels with a marble look save weight, and wooden cabinetry adds warmth.
Owner-operated weekender or superyacht chase boat
There are two typical buyers. The first, like Brady, wants a fast, stylish weekender for the Bahamas or the Balearics that a professional captain runs while the family lives on deck. The second already owns a large superyacht and wants a chase boat that can scout ahead, carry toys and guests, and act as a tender to the tender. Wajer notes the reinforced bow for towing and easy boarding from the stern and side, features inherited from its tender heritage.
In either role, triple IPS gives redundancy and precise handling for a boat this size, and a draft under six feet keeps most Bahamian and Mediterranean anchorages within reach.
What a Wajer 77 costs to own
This is yacht-scale ownership. Plan for a full-time captain and at least seasonal crew, an 80-foot slip, insurance on a hull worth more than $7 million, triple D13 and IPS service, generator and stabilizer upkeep, the jet tender, the many electrical and hydraulic systems, and fuel. A realistic all-in figure, excluding depreciation, is about $450,000 to $850,000 a year.
Wajer's own service hubs in the Netherlands, France, Spain and the United States, its Wajer Care program and its crew placement make the 77 easier to support than most European boats of its size. That network is also a reason to buy through Wajer's pre-owned program when a used boat comes up.
Wajer 77 price, new and used
Wajer does not publish a list price, and new boats are quoted to order. The best public anchor for the wajer 77 price is YachtBuyer's market data, which showed a single used example, a 2025 boat with triple 1,000 hp Volvo Penta engines, asking $7,499,000. New boats typically cost more once options and delivery are included.
Supply is tiny and demand has been strong since launch, so early boats are unlikely to fall far. Check hours on all three engines, the condition of the automated fenders, roof and deck systems, and whether the stabilizer option was fitted, because retrofitting it later is expensive.

How much does a Wajer 77 cost?
YachtBuyer's market data showed a single used 77 for sale, a 2025 boat with triple 1,000 hp Volvo Penta engines asking $7,499,000, and Wajer had more than 17 orders at launch. New prices are by quote and move with the IPS 1350 upgrade, the stabilizer, custom paint and interior choices. With so few hulls, resale is driven by build year, hours and how well the boat's many automated systems have been maintained.
Estimate your yearly cost
A planning estimate using common rules of thumb: insurance near 1.5 percent of value, maintenance near 3 percent, haul out and bottom paint by length. Your marina, region and use will move these numbers. Open the full cost calculator.

Compare side by sideOur verdict on the Wajer 77
The Wajer 77 takes everything that made Wajer's dayboats desirable, clean lines, clever gadgets and a deck built for living outdoors, and adds three real suites, crew quarters and a tender garage. It is not a long-range cruiser and it is not cheap, with used examples asking $7.5 million, but as a fast, quiet weekender or a superyacht chase boat it has few direct rivals. Buy one with a full service history on the triple IPS and a stabilizer, and budget for a crew.
